Weekend Seminar with Vishwaguruji in Salzburg, Austria

 Salzburg

On Friday 25 May 2018, Salzburg yoga students and many guests from abroad, eagerly awaited Vishwaguruji Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda in the Yoga Center Salzburg (Stauffenstrasse), author of the world-renowned yoga system Yoga in Daily Life ®, which he has been teaching for 45 years.

After the welcoming ceremony, during the evening satsang, Vishwaguruji translated and explained a bhajan of his grand master Bhagwan Sri Deep Narayan Mahaprabhuji. This spiritual song describes the inner wealth, happiness and joy that a disciple experiences when meeting with his spiritual master.

On Saturday 26 May, the Weekend Yoga Seminar commenced in the Brunauer Center. Participants experienced the benefits of yoga exercises led by experienced physiotherapist Andrea Bachtrog (Amba Devi), and inspiring lectures from Vishwaguruji plus group walks in the surrounding park rounded off the seminar.

Vishwaguruji emphasized in his lectures the principle of discipline, which should not only be maintained in a seminar but especially in everyday life. Discipline makes the exercises successful.

After the evening lecture from Vishwaguruji, during which Swami Avatar Puriji spoke about healthy eating via a video call from India, the group made a nice early-summer walk on the banks of the River Salzach.

The program on Sunday 27 May focused on asanas to strengthen the Manipur chakra and to harmonize prana and apana, which contributes to improving immunity and overall health.

Vishwaguruji also explained the four stages of the OM sound (a-A-U-M) and recommended chanting OM eleven times, three times a day, every day. He explained that the OM sound supports health on all physical and energetic levels.

The Salzburg yoga students and guests from locally and abroad, thanked Vishwaguruji for his words of wisdom and teaching of yoga. After lunch on Sunday, the weekend seminar ended and all participants returned home, enriched on their yoga path.
