Sacred Mahamrityunjaya Mahayajna at Om Ashram
Seven Days of Prayer for the Health of Sri Vishwaguruji and Peace for the World
With the divine blessings of Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Sri Swami Maheshwarananda Ji - Vishwaguruji https://www.vishwaguruji.org/swamiji, Mahamandaleshwar Swami Sri Avatar Puri Ji organised the sacred Mahamrityunjaya Mahayajna at Om Ashram https://www.omashram.com/, Jadan (Pali), Rajasthan, India, from 26 May to 2 June 2026.
For seven days, learned Vedic scholars from the holy city of Kashi performed continuous chanting of the sacred Mahamrityunjaya Mantra and conducted the Mahayajna for the excellent health of Sri Vishwaguruji, as well as for healing, positivity, harmony, and lasting peace throughout the world.
The Sacred Mahamrityunjaya Anushthan
At the heart of this sacred Anushthan was the ancient Mahamrityunjaya Mantra, one of the most revered mantras of the Rig Veda, known for its power to bring healing, protection, inner strength, and victory over negativity.
During the seven-day ceremony, the mantra was chanted 125,000 times, creating an atmosphere filled with profound spiritual vibrations, divine grace, and Guru Kripa. Devotees from around the world united in prayer and sankalp, offering their heartfelt wishes for Vishwaguruji's health and for the peace and well-being of all humanity.
The Deeper Meaning of Yajna
In the Vedic tradition, Yajna is far more than a sacred fire ritual. It represents selfless service and actions performed for the welfare of others without expecting any reward.
The Bhagavad Gita teaches that yajna has existed since the beginning of creation and forms the very foundation of human life. Every selfless action performed with love, gratitude, and surrender becomes a yajna. Rather than representing loss, true sacrifice leads to spiritual growth and inner fulfilment. Giving is never a loss - it is an offering that returns many times over through divine grace.
The philosophy of Karma Yoga is centred upon this timeless principle: every action dedicated to the Divine and the welfare of all beings becomes a sacred offering.
Divine Blessings and Devotional Gatherings
A truly blessed moment marked the commencement of the Mahayajna when Sri Vishwaguruji personally blessed Mahamandaleshwar Swami Sri Avatar Puri Ji, offering his divine grace for the successful completion of this sacred Yagya Anushthan.

Every evening concluded with devotional prayers, sacred mantra chanting, and moments of deep meditation, filling Om Ashram with peace, spiritual energy, and the ever-present blessings of Guru Kripa.
Purnahuti - The Sacred Completion
The Mahayajna concluded with the Purnahuti, the final and most auspicious offering into the sacred fire, marking the successful completion of seven days of intense spiritual practice.
The atmosphere was filled with gratitude, joy, and serenity. Happiness and peace radiated from every face as devotees experienced the uplifting power of collective prayer, selfless sacrifice, and unwavering devotion.
