World Peace Tree planted in Cuba 2014

World Peace Tree planted in Cuba in honour of Swamiji's work for World Peace

A young oak tree has been planted in the Botanic Garden in the city of Holguin in Cuba as a World Peace Tree, in honour of Swamiji´s work for world peace. The ceremonial planting was made by Sadhvi Yamuna Puri with a group of members from YIDL Barcelona and YIDL Cuba.

The engraved plaque of the Peace Tree mounted on a memorial stone reads:

Planted in honour of HH Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda, for His untiring work for peace and protection of the environment. Guided by His principles: Sadhvi Yamuna Puri and YIDL group Holguin – Cuba 4 November 2014
